Ground Pulse FAQ
What is the India Ground Pulse?
▼
The India Ground Pulse is a live, hourly-updated snapshot of travel conditions across India's offbeat destinations: how heavy the drive is on the hill corridors right now, which waterfalls are running strong against their 24-year seasonal baseline, which flower blooms are in season, and the next long weekend. Every number is measured or forecast, not averaged from old blogs.
How do I check live travel conditions in India this week?
▼
This page shows them in one view, refreshed hourly - metro-to-hills drive times compared against a typical day, waterfall flow percentiles, active bloom seasons and the next long weekend. For a single destination, open its page to see its full set of live ground instruments.
Which waterfalls are flowing strongly in India right now?
▼
The "Waterfalls this week" section ranks every waterfall destination by its current flow percentile - today's river discharge measured against 24 years of data for the same month - so a high percentile means the falls are unusually full for the season, and a low one means a thinner curtain than the photos suggest.
What data sources power the Ground Pulse?
▼
Live traffic comes from the TomTom Routing API, waterfall flow from Copernicus GloFAS river-discharge data, and bloom windows from documented forest-department and long-term observation records. The pulse is recomputed hourly.
