About 90km from Pune, the Kukdi river has eroded its basalt bed over millennia into deep, near-perfectly round potholes - some over 10 metres deep. Locals call it "Kunda" and consider it sacred. The dry season exposes the strange landscape; monsoon submerges it dramatically.
